From a savings recommendation to a verified outcome.
CoreFinOps turns native AWS recommendations into governed, trackable actions—with approval, customer-confirmed implementation, and verified savings. Your AWS role stays read-only.
How the Action Center works
CoreFinOps does not execute changes in your AWS account. Your team implements approved actions using your own tooling; CoreFinOps records and verifies the outcome.
Collect recommendations
Native Cost Optimization Hub and Compute Optimizer findings ingested with source, estimated savings, risk, and confidence.
Create an action
Assign an owner, set priority, and route to the relevant approver. Every action links back to its originating recommendation.
Approve or reject
Approver reviews the finding, estimated impact, and risk. A comment and decision are recorded against the action.
Customer implements
Your team performs the change in AWS using your own tooling. CoreFinOps records that implementation has been customer-confirmed.
Verify the outcome
Capture the evidence period and result. Expected vs realized vs verified savings are tracked separately—never conflated.
What the Action Center handles
Rightsizing
- EC2 and RDS instance resize recommendations from Compute Optimizer
- Estimated monthly saving and confidence level from the source
- Owner and due date assigned in the Action Center queue
Resource cleanup
- Idle or unattached resource findings from Cost Optimization Hub
- Risk level and blast radius assessed before action is created
- Customer team executes cleanup; CoreFinOps records confirmation
Commitments visibility
- RI and Savings Plans coverage and utilization read-only
- Commitment recommendations surfaced for review
- Purchasing decisions remain with your team—CoreFinOps does not buy commitments
Governance findings
- Budget overruns and policy violations raised as findings
- Metadata completeness and tagging gaps surfaced
- Findings route to the appropriate owner for resolution
Accountability at every stage
The full workflow—finding, action, approval, customer execution, verification, and ledger—is recorded. No step is skipped or assumed.
Approval record
Actor, timestamp, role, comment, and decision captured for every approval or rejection.
Customer-confirmed execution
CoreFinOps records that your team confirmed implementation. The AWS role remains read-only throughout.
Verification step
After implementation, capture the evidence period and outcome. Failed verification is never labeled as a saving.
Value Ledger entry
Verified savings are posted to the Value Ledger with full lineage back to the source recommendation.
