Purchase Through AWS Marketplace
How AWS Marketplace buying differs from connecting an AWS cost account.
Limitation
AWS Marketplace is a purchasing channel, not a cost-ingestion connector. The AWS account that purchases a CoreFinOps subscription can be different from the AWS accounts connected later for financial analysis.
Buyer journey
- 1
Begin from the approved CoreFinOps Marketplace listing
Do not use unofficial links or bookmarks.
- 2
AWS delivers a registration token
AWS sends a short-lived token to a secure server-side HTTPS POST fulfillment endpoint.
- 3
Seller integration resolves the token
The system identifies the purchased agreement/license from the token.
- 4
Sign in to CoreFinOps console
Use the same console as direct customers.
- 5
Associate the purchase with your workspace
You must be authorized to administer the workspace you associate.
- 6
Continue to AWS-account onboarding
Once entitlements are verified, connect AWS accounts for cost analysis if needed.
Important separation
Purchasing does not require deploying the customer read-only role. That role is only required later to read AWS inventory/cost sources. The Marketplace seller integration uses the seller's AWS identity, not the customer's analysis role.
Contract and entitlement behavior
Multiple licenses can exist for one purchasing AWS account; agreements must be associated with the correct LicenseArn and authorized workspace, never guessed from an email or account number.
Subscription management
Show the Marketplace purchasing source, plan/dimensions, effective state, term and appropriate AWS management link. Changes, renewal, cancellation and reactivation must follow verified AWS lifecycle state. Marketplace-paid tenants must not be offered a duplicate direct credit-card checkout.
Release availability
The Marketplace purchase flow is release-gated until seller configuration, buyer testing and listing approval are completed. This page is explanatory and must not claim that a public listing or live purchase already exists.
