Financial Command Center

A defensible summary of spend, migration exposure and next actions.

The Command Center is designed to answer five recurring questions: what are we spending, what changed, what could we save, what should we do and what value has been verified?

Financial pulse

Review allocated and unallocated spend separately, using the selected cost basis and visible currency. Multi-currency portfolios must show distinct currency amounts unless an explicitly approved conversion methodology exists. Confidence, source freshness and coverage determine whether a figure can support a decision.

Opportunity and action signals

Savings Radar can surface candidate optimization actions; the Action Center records owners, approvals and outcomes. Neither a recommendation nor an approval is proof that infrastructure changed or a bill decreased.

Migration context

Applications and workloads connect the executive view to migration readiness, waves, dual-run exposure and decommission obligations. Financially incomplete decommission can remain a priority after technical cutover.

Data-state interpretation

  • No workspace: complete identity and membership setup.
  • AWS connected, no cost: configure export and run ingestion.
  • Ingestion in progress: consult job status and last successful run.
  • Cost present, no allocation: run allocation and review unmapped context.
  • Demo: keep synthetic figures explicitly distinct from customer evidence.
  • Billing blocked or expired: access and job execution follow the current plan/entitlement policy.

Where to investigate

Open Explorer for dimension-level bills, Migration for workload economics, Optimize for opportunities, and Value Ledger for evidence-backed outcomes. Historical numbers should come from authoritative persisted runs, not browser-side recomputation.
